ABOUT ME

"Healing doesn’t mean erasing the pain—it means finding the strength to rise with it, to move, to breathe, and to choose joy again."

I'm a yoga teacher, sound therapist, and retreat guide, devoted to creating spaces of healing, transformation, and connection. My journey into this work began long before I knew it would become my path.

I was born in Ramona, a small country town outside of San Diego, and moved to Oregon in the 8th grade. I took my first yoga class at age 12—never imagining it would one day become one of my greatest passions and the cornerstone of my career.

I studied Business and Sociology at George Fox University, then spent several years working a conventional 9–6 job. Eventually, I felt a deep pull toward something more meaningful. That pull led me to graduate school to study Peace and Conflict Studies—a subject that took me abroad to Cyprus and reawakened my love of travel and intercultural connection.

While writing my thesis, my fiancé tragically passed away in a car accident. That loss changed everything. I began to see life differently and turned to yoga and movement as a way to process grief and reconnect with myself. The practice became my lifeline. It brought me healing, strength, and a sense of wholeness I hadn’t known was possible. I knew then: if I could guide even one person toward that kind of healing, it would all be worth it.

So I became a yoga teacher, and I've been teaching ever since.

In 2020, I deepened my path by becoming certified in sound therapy, a modality I believe in wholeheartedly for its ability to bring balance and clarity to the body, mind, and spirit.

A year later, I returned to one of my most beloved places: Yelapa, Mexico—a magical fishing village nestled in the jungle outside of Puerto Vallarta. There, I met a community that felt like home and was invited to host my first retreat. I instantly fell in love with both the land and the powerful experience of guiding groups through intentional, immersive journeys.

In January 2022, I moved to Yelapa and have since split my year between Mexico and Oregon, creating offerings rooted in presence, embodiment, and transformation. Whether through yoga, sound, or retreat work, I’m here to help others reconnect with their true essence and the joy of living fully.

In general, I'm someone who finds joy in life’s simple pleasures—like hiking through the forest with my dog, swimming in wild waters, or breaking a sweat in a good workout. I love nourishing my body with delicious food, getting lost in the pages of a great book, and exploring new places that open my mind and heart. Whether it’s a quiet morning with coffee and a novel or an adventure in an unfamiliar country, I’m always seeking moments that make me feel alive, connected, and inspired.
