II'm honored to be co-hosting this retreat with Bonfire Hot Fire! *****For more information and to register go to CLICK HERE ****** Some Info: What are the dates for the Yoga & Wellness Retreat in Yelapa, Mexico?

The dates for this 7-day retreat are: January 5th – January 11th, 2023. Both the 5th and the 11th are partial travel days.

Where will I be staying while in Yelapa?

The retreat will be held at the enchanting Casa Isabel, a lovely  sustainable living villa – close to the ocean and surrounded by nature.  Each casita (“little house”) is unique and pricing is dependent upon  occupancy. View our casita gallery then book your favorite casita!

What will a “typical” day look like?

A typical day will include a yoga practice in the morning, followed  by breakfast and then an excursion, group activity, or workshop. Given  the day’s activity, there may also be another opportunity to practice  yoga or meditation before or after dinner. All activities are optional  and guests should feel free to use this as a time to honor what feels  best for them to engage in.

Can you tell me more about Yelapa, and why it’s so magical?

Yes! We encourage you to read this stunning article:

Yelapa: La Madre Selva (The Mother Jungle) by HARRIS NEWMAN

Who are your hosts?

This retreat is presented by Bonfire Hot Yoga, and your hosts and  guides during the retreat are: Krystal Conniry and Seth Brown! Krystal is a practicing Yoga Teacher, Sound Therapist, and Healing Arts  Enthusiast. Yoga continues to be a life-changing journey of surrender  and transformation for her and she loves to share this gift with the  world. It is Seth’s personal belief that everyone’s yoga journey begins with their first  breath, arriving at body, or perhaps even before then. He has practiced  yoga since 2003, and has over 5,000 hours of yoga teaching experience.  Seth considers yoga his life’s passion. It is not a job nor a duty. Take  a closer look at Seth and Krystal’s full bios on the Retreat Home Page!

I have limited mobility. Is this retreat for me?

It’s important to keep in mind that Yelapa is nestled at the foot of a  mountain next to the ocean and has no paved roads. Because of this,  getting around in Yelapa means walking on charming cobble-stone streets  and steep walkways.

Krystal and Seth welcome all levels of practice into their yoga  classes and can provide modifications if a posture is outside a  student’s range.

What is the weather like in January?

The weather in January is amazing—sunny with warm days and cooler  nights. The average temperature range is a low of 62° and a high of 80°.

What kinds of clothing should I pack?

Bring clothes conducive for warmer weather and slightly cooler  nights. In addition, consider attire for activities such as yoga,  hiking, and swimming. A good pair of walking sandals are highly  recommended.

Can I drink the water in Yelapa?

The tap water in Yelapa is not for drinking. Casa Isabel has an  filtration system and each casita will have its own garaphon. However,  if people want to be extremely careful or know that they have a really  sensitive tummy or immune system, they may want to play it safe and  stick to bottled water which we can get from the store.

Money:

The currency in Yelapa is the Mexican Peso. There are no ATMs in  Yelapa so will want to either order pesos before you leave the US or  purchase them in Puerto Vallarta from a bank or ATM. Many US banks offer  currency exchange. We will not have a lot of time in PV before heading  to Yelapa (unless you are coming early) so the best and most economical  thing to do is to get your pesos ahead of time or at the airport.

Are credit cards accepted in most places?

Few places in Yelapa accept credit cards. And the fees are large. The most preferred and accepted form of payment is cash.
